MAKING A DIFFERENCE TO THE GLOBAL LANDSCAPE OF ABUSE, EXPLOITATION AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING

24.9 million people are trapped in exploitation and trafficking around the world (ILO)

1/3 of detected trafficking victims are children (UNODC)

1 in 8 of the world’s children are sexually abused before the age of 18 (Stoltenbourgh et al)

Since 2014, It’s a Penalty has been working to prevent abuse, exploitation and human trafficking worldwide.

Our ultimate goal is to eradicate abuse, exploitation and human trafficking by 2030, contributing to the elimination of modern-day slavery and the achievement of UN SDG Target 16.2 ‘to end abuse, exploitation, trafficking, torture and all forms of violence against children’.
