Harnessing the Power of Sport to Prevent Human Trafficking and Exploitation
It’s a Penalty has launched its 24th global human trafficking prevention campaign in North America in the lead up to and throughout the 2026 World Cup. This initiative brings together partners across travel, hospitality, media, and local host cities to educate the public and equip individuals with the tools needed to recognize exploitation and take informed action, including connecting to appropriate support and resources.
Human trafficking affects millions of people worldwide. The campaign uses this moment of increased visibility and travel to focus attention on the issue, highlight how trafficking impacts individuals and communities, and mobilize action to help prevent abuse and exploitation.
