Paris 2024 Press & Campaign Launch
EVENT ENDED

Join It's a Penalty as we launch our campaign to address human trafficking and exploitation leading up to the Paris 2024 Olympics & Paralympics with our local and global partners, hosted in collaboration with Accor at the Mercure Paris Tour Eiffel.

It's a Penalty is excited to be running our 19th campaign during a major global sporting event and our 4th campaign during the Olympic and Paralympics Games for Paris 2024, working with our partners Booking.com, Accor, IHG Hotels & Resorts, Sysdoc, local NGO Le Collectif Contre La Traite, Border Force and participating airlines British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Emirates, JetBlue, Ethiopian Airlines and Air New Zealand to raise awareness and prevent abuse, exploitation and trafficking contributing towards a positive legacy.

We invite you to join us with speaker representatives from local government, the travel and tourism industry, the sports industry, survivor voices and local NGOs. The launch will take place in the morning with a 09:00am breakfast start, and the presentation (primarily in French) with our guest speakers will begin at 09:30-10:30am.

We will launch our 30s campaign film which will be in-flight on British Airways, Emirates, Cathay Pacific, JetBlue, Ethiopian Airlines and Air NZ, showcasing new Olympic and Paralympic athlete Ambassadors and partners! During the Tokyo 2020 campaign, we reached a potential 730 million people globally with our awareness-raising information and local outreach - we hope to have a similar impact for Paris 2024.

The event will finish at 11am after press interviews and networking.

We’re proud to announce our Ambassadors for this year's campaign to help deliver our awareness campaign:

  • Ellie Simmonds OBE - Paralympic Champion Swimmer (UK)
  • Michaël Jérémiasz - Paralympic Champion Tennis Player (France)
